From 10th – 29th April 2012, Selfridges Food Hall in London’s Oxford Street hosted an event called Delicious Ireland. Fifty of Ireland’s finest artisan producers shared their skills, knowledge and, above all, their love of good food with enthusiastic foodies life myself. The event was sponsored by Selfridges, Bord Bia (Irish Food Board), Invest Northern Ireland and Tourism Ireland. I spoke to Michelle Butler, the General Manager of the London office of Bord Bia who gave me a general overview of the event.
One product that caught my eye and excited my taste buds was Highbank Orchard Syrup. It is produced at an idyllic apple farm called Highbank Organic Farm that is based in County Kilkenny. I spoke to Julie Calder-Potts from Highbank Orchards who told me more about their organic apple syrup.
Chia Seeds have been dubbed by many people in the foodie fraternity as being a nutrient-dense super food. Hence I was really excited when I came across County Waterford-based Chia Bia at the event.
I spoke to Ray Owens, Sales and Marketing Director of Chia Bia about their exciting range of products.
